Hybrid proceedings of the Legislative Assembly afford all Members with the means to fulfill their parliamentary functions and safeguard the rights, privileges, and immunities of individual Members regardless of their physical location, in exceptional circumstances.
Guidance for Members Participating in Proceedings of the Legislative Assembly Remotely is issued by the Speaker pursuant to Standing Order 8 (3) (b) and applies to all proceedings of the House, including Committee of the Whole and Committee of Supply proceedings in Sections A, B and C, as well as parliamentary committee proceedings. Conduct and decorum, procedural considerations and technical requirements are outlined to support Members during remote participation.
