The Legislative Assembly provides computers and applicable software for Members and constituency office staff. Standard IT resources are provided to Members and caucus staff in accordance with Policy 7405 – IT Resource Allocation for Members and Employees of a Member or Caucus. The Information Technology Department provides support for this equipment through the IT Service Desk.
Constituency offices must contact the IT Service Desk if computers require servicing or if they require additional programs or equipment to be installed. If it is necessary to have a technician on site to perform any maintenance or repair, this will be arranged by the IT Service Desk.
The IT Service Desk is staffed during the following hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Monday to Friday: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Major Event On-Call Coverage
Saturday, Sunday, and holidays: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Major Event On-Call Coverage
The Legislative Assembly will provide high-speed internet access to each constituency office. Staff from the Information Technology Department will arrange for an account to be opened with the local service provider and the billing will be forwarded directly to Financial Services.
The Information Technology Department will provide a multi-function printer unit (including fax, photocopier, printer, and scanning services) to constituency offices.
